The Fairfield Board wrote a letter to the Town of Oro Valley on April 22nd opposing the General Plan Amendment. Below is an additional letter to the Vistoso Community Association (VCA) Board of Directors urging them to support the current efforts to keep the property as open space and park.  This current effort is being evaluated by the Town, Preserve Vistoso, The Conservation Fund, and Romspen.

The letter to the VCA is as follows:

June 8, 2020

TO: Sarah Nelson, President of Ranch Vistoso Homeowners Association and all VCA Board Members and Directors

FROM: The Board Members of Fairfield at Rancho Vistoso Homeowners Association

We, the Board of Fairfield Homeowners Association are asking the VCA Board Officers and Directors to support the neighborhood Sub- Associations in opposing the application to the town of Oro Valley by Romspen to change the Rancho Vistoso GPA, and thus rezone the Vistoso Golf Property for development.  Taking a stand in support of working with all parties to resolve these issues is in everyone’s best interest.

Prior to the latest development between the four parties; TOV, Romspen, PV and The Conservation Fund, the Fairfield Board had sent a letter on April 22nd to the Town of Oro Valley,  stating our positions on the possible development of the Vistoso Golf Property. As Romspen has indicated they are willing to entertain an offer for the property, we feel it is an opportune time for the VCA Board to step up and support the work of the four parties and neighboring communities.

The creation of a Sonoran Desert Nature Park in the heart of Rancho Vistoso can only be a positive addition for the residents of our community, and the town of Oro Valley.  Again, we urge you to let our collective community voice be heard.  If Fairfield HOA can assist you in this effort, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
